'Kiri fukaki elbe no hotori'

In the port town adjacent to River Elbe, the lovers met on the day of the Beer Festival... 'Kiri fukaki elbe no hotori' is the story that were depicted in a desperate love of Carl who is sailor with sorrow while being compassionate and full of a deep human charm, and Margit, a daughter of a famous family who had left her home because of feud with her father. This play that was written for Takarazuka Revue by Kazuo Kikuta, who was a leading Japanese playwright and had greatly contributed to the theatrical world, has been performing many times since the first performance in 1963 and capturing many audiences.
In the beginning of the 2019 year when Takarazuka Revue has its 105th anniversary year, the performance is decided to play with newly embroidered and produced by Kumiko Ueda, who fell in love with this work, and performed by Star Troupe led by Yuzuru Kurenai. We will try to reperform the masterpieces of Takarazuka Revue, which they should keep and tell over and describes the loneliness and sadness of living and the warmth of the human mercy which is fading now.
