(Japanese translation and Japanese subtitles)

Script: Adelheid Wette
Music: Engelbert Humperdinck
Original: Grimm Brothers "Children's and Household Tales"
Conductor: Kosuke Tsunoda
Production and choreography: Uran Hirosaki
Orchestral music: New Japan Philharmonic

Hansel and Gretel, a brother and a sister, are fascinated by a house of sweets that suddenly appeared deep in the forest, but there is a terrible witch.
The Nissay Theater version 'Hansel and Gretel' was directed and choreographed by Uran Hirose, who has been actively involved in many fields including dramatic performances and dance, and was performed for the first time in 2013. It has been renewed and will be performed again.
We have young and notable Kosuke Tsunoda as a conductor. You will enjoy beautiful music of Humperdincks, the music created from the young sensibilities. Enjoy the absolutely beautiful stage including the performance by opera singers and dancers chosen by audition, and the forest of fantasy where angels fly.
The performance will be given using easy-to-understand Japanese translation. It is also recommended for those who will watch opera for the first time.
